Faculty-led Programs

SPU Faculty-led study abroad programs offer the opportunity for a smaller group of students to work closely with a SPU faculty member in a specific area and country of interest. The collaboration between individual departments and faculty to create and work with SPU Study Abroad in managing these international study programs is central to the success of this effort. If you are currently involved or interested in leading a program, this section is for you.

Your First Steps
Faculty proposing new and ongoing study abroad programs should work with their department chair, dean, and the study abroad office from the early planning stages. The Faculty-led Policy Guide will outline University expectations and procedures to help you as you begin to plan your program abroad. SPU Study Abroad staff are available to provide guidance and support at any point during the process - from planning to post-return.
