Program Costs and Billing Information


SPU Faculty-led Programs

A $50 application fee will be payable online. Once you are notified of acceptance to a program, a $300 administrative fee will be payable online within 7 days to confirm placement. After you receive your acceptance notification from the study abroad office, you will receive a separate email from Student Financial Services outlining your estimated costs for the program. The program fee will be added to your student account for the term in which the program occurs.

You will find the program costs on the individual program pages on this site as soon as they are available. If you are not certain of your program cost, please contact SPU Study Abroad. It is important for you to know what is included in your program cost and what additional costs you need to plan for. Additional costs may include airfare, meals, books and materials, optional excursions and personal expenses. If you have any questions about additional fees, please contact us.

SPU Partner Programs

For Partner Programs, students will be charged regular SPU tuition and an additional program fee may be charged to your BANNER account depending on the tier in which your chosen program falls. A $50 application fee will be payable online and a $300 study abroad fee will be payable online once your application is approved. It is important to know what is included in your program cost and what additional costs you will need to plan for. Non-Partner Programs

Program costs for non-partner programs will be paid directly to the provider or host university. It is very important to know what is included and what is not. You will not pay SPU tuition for the quarter or semester abroad. Students will pay a $50 application fee (payable online) and then a $300 study abroad administrative fee will be charged to their SPU BANNER account once they are approved to study abroad with their selected program. 

Please note: For all programs, it is important that you notify SPU Study Abroad immediately if you decide to cancel. Delaying this notification may result in non-refundable charges to your BANNER account. Please carefully read the SPU's Withdrawal Policy for study abroad.
