Study Abroad with CEA in the French Alps

Université Grenoble - Alpes

This program is designed for students of all language levels who wish to focus their studies solely on the acquisition and/or improvement of their French language skills. Each month, students will take one language course. At the end of the month, students will be evaluated and may move to a higher level. All language courses focus on oral and written expression, vocabulary development, grammar, and listening comprehension.

Experience the French Alps

Surrounded by snow-capped mountains, Grenoble is often referred to as the intellectual and economic capital of the Alps. Over the years, the city has developed into a major center in the fields of physics, computer science, and nanotechnology; more than 200 multinational corporations have made chosen Grenoble as the base of their European operations. You can take French language classes at University of Grenoble - Alps's Centre Universitare d'Etudes Françaises or study business at the renowned Grenoble Ecole de Management, which is ranked among the world's top 50 business schools.

Experience all that Grenoble has to offer through organized CEA activities, or use your spare time to explore the miles of hiking trails, lakes, and ski slopes that make the Alps famous. In the winter, race down Olympic slopes or snowboard the Alpine trails. During the rest of the year, enjoy windsurfing, kayaking, or hang gliding. Four national parks, as well as endless student sports clubs, make the French Alps an ideal environment for students who love the outdoors.

SPU Partner Program: Tier 5

This is an SPU Partner Program. These programs are in partnership with affiliated organizations or host universities that have been vetted for their academic and student support, and have been in long standing partnerships with Seattle Pacific University. All Partner Programs are eligible for Federal, State, and Institutional financial aid. 
 
Cost: Tier 5

For SPU Partner Programs, you will be charged one quarter of SPU tuition for participation during fall quarter or winter/spring quarters combined. Depending on the cost of the program, a program fee may be charged in addition to SPU tuition. Aid eligibility includes SPU grants and scholarships, federal, state, and local financial aid for SPU Partner Programs.

What's Not Included: 
  • Airfare
  • Confirmation Deposit: A $300 fee will be due as part of your SPU application and considered your commitment to the program. As SPU has a capacity of 50 students every year for Partner Programs, this fee would be refunded if your application was submitted after we reached capacity.

  • Generally, students spend more money while they are abroad than during a typical quarter at SPU. These costs vary per student, and are usually associated with extra in-country and personal travel, eating out, entertainment, and purchasing gifts and souvenirs.
