Ways to Get Involved

1. Become a Global Ambassador

  • What is a Global Ambassador? Global Ambassadors are students that have studied abroad and are now back on campus and passionate about sharing their experience! It is a volunteer position working directly with the Study Abroad office participating in events, classroom presentations, administrative tasks, and more!

  • What is the goal of a Global Ambassador? The goal of the SPU Global Ambassador program is to provide Seattle Pacific University Study Abroad with a student voice in the recruitment of study abroad students. It is the Global Ambassadors purpose to be representatives of study abroad in reaching out to the SPU campus and informing students of the SPU study abroad options. SPU Study Abroad strives to create a fun and rewarding experience for students, which will also give Global Ambassadors the opportunity to share their stories while gaining valuable work experience.

  • What are the hours like? This position is meant to be flexible and work around your class schedule. It is an unpaid volunteer opportunity meant to provide the Ambassadors with an opportunity to acquire experience in marketing, recruitment, and international education in an office setting. However, as Ambassadors of SPU Study Abroad, there are a few expectations associated with this position.  Most importantly, we expect our Global Ambassadors to be professional, dependable, and committed.

  • How do I become a Global Ambassador?  Interested applicants should complete the application below and return it to SPU Study Abroad in Lower Moyer B12. We will contact qualified applicants within 2 weeks to set up a 15-20 minute interview. The interview will be informal, and topics will include your study abroad experience, your interests and what you think you can contribute to the Ambassador program.
